Section 2: What can I do? Can’t do?

You can bring your stock car to drive on the track.  You don’t need special safety equipment other than a SNELL 2015 or newer helmet.

Can I or will I go solo with no experience?

Do not expect to come to the track with 0 experience and be let loose on track by yourself.  This might seem like fun, but it is not safe and not productive.  Your instructor is there to not only keep you safe, but also to build your skills much faster than you could build them yourself through trial and error.  Your instructor is the master, and you are the apprentice.

Going solo

If the instructor deems that you are ready to drive solo, they will give you the option.  If you feel you are ready or would like to drive solo, let your instructor know, but they will ultimately decide.   Going solo should be part of your learning plan, and not just an excuse to be on your own.  If the instructor gives consent, they will typically give you things to practice during your solo session, and then review your solo session immediately after to give and receive feedback.  Always remember, your instructor is your mentor and it can take years for you to reach their level, so the best way to become faster is to listen to them.

Can I bring my friends?  Can I bring my baby & stuff?

You can bring friends, and family.  All ages are OK.  Small children should always be accompanied by an adult at all times, as this is a live track and there are cars constantly driving around the paddock.
